i mean to be fair its not reasonable to expect that you guys could recognize every song on the planet so i really cant blame you for being fooled. the internet found it immediately because out of the thousands first listening to the track at least a few would know the stolen track and tell everyone else - oh wait thats exactly what just happened
im curious if there were any album sales before those tracks were taken down and if so how fucked is the mspa music team? its not like this isnt going to get reported to the company that made frozen synapse with the amount of people who know this, there could very easily be a lawsuit, maybe not because it’s an indie developer but it is possible
also the guy who submitted these is not only a fucking asshole (and i hope he gets royally screwed from this, like lawsuit screwed - especially because as part of the process he signed the rights over to the music team without the legal right to do so) but also a fucking idiot for thinking he wouldnt get caught the moment the album came out and its not like he even would get any royalties from it so i have no idea why he would take that risk

For those who don’t know what this project is, I’m putting together a collab hamsteak parody of ke$ha’s tik tok.Lyrics and backing track are on http://tindeck.com/listen/yhdk
This script uses all 12 o-kids and trolls! Some of them have more lines than others (60% of it is Dave, but Feferi only gets a single glub, for example. Most are 2-6 lines.)
I’m doing two versions of it now! One will be a normal track where I cast each part out of the submissions, the other will be an “everybody sings” version that will include every submission of usable quality (ie not distorted, not too much background noise, etc). I was only going to do the one, but I’ve already got some submissions already and there are a few characters where I had multiple people give great performances for so I pretty much felt I need to get them all out there together. Both will be independently balanced and mixed and whatnot because I am that ocd about certain things like clipping.
I’m looking for submissions for every character! An ideal submission would be one or more wav/mp3 files as well as the name/handle you want to be credited by. Record with either the instrumental or original kesha song playing in headphones to make sure you’re singing/rapping/etc in time with the music and in the right key, but the file you send should only have your voice, not the music. If possible, try to minimize ambient noise and avoid peaking in your recording, but don’t bother doing it digitally after you record since I’ll be manually processing them all myself anyway.
Send me every character you would like to play. Ideally, send multiple takes as well! Especially because some parts have different ways they could be approached and what sounds best depends in part on how the people around it sound, if that makes any sense, I’m failing at words right now.
So far I’ve got a couple submissions for most of the female characters, but I would really like more too. Also, I haven’t received any subs at all for most of the male cast, so I especially need those! I don’t want to sound like I’m begging, but the more people that get involved, the better this will sound - there will be more to choose from for the main cast and a stronger ensemble for the everybody sings. So please, don’t be shy, get involved!

I’m not working on any particular timetable, when it’s done it’s done. Still have a bunch of parts that nobody has submitted lines for and there are a few people I directly asked who haven’t been able to get back to me yet anyway, so at the very least a few days, probably longer.
Okay apparently a lot of people on skype and tumblr and through the grapevine want to be part of t1ck t0ck, which is good! So for everyone who does if I haven’t talked to you already either tumblr message me or skype message me at trainercase with the sound files of the character(s) you want to contribute! I’ve already had more than one person send me lines for the same character, which means I won’t be able to use everything that gets sent in - a good problem to have for song quality since I can pick and choose the best, but I’m sorry in advance to anyone who doesn’t make it in the end D=
Naturally send me a file with your voice clean and unedited with nothing in the background. To make sure tempo and pitch are correct, you will probably want to be listening to the backing track (or tik tok itself the key and tempo were unchanged) with headphones. There’s a lot of stuff I can clean up and tweak in editing, but one of the things I can’t fix is the quality loss from recording too quiet or loud, so be careful with volume!
Also it can’t hurt to send a couple takes. I can be kind of picky about stuff when it comes to music >_>

already threw together a backing track - took a clean tik tok instrumental and added some upward movement samples because that obviously makes it at least 20% cooler then fiddled with the volumes a bit.
it sounds better with voices. yes i recorded it once myself to test and no, nobody will EVER hear that under pain of death. i’ll even lie and say i deleted it. and by lie i mean insist that this is completely true.
